Coffee storage

How you keep coffee to protect it from the air, light, heat and moisture that cause it to go stale.

Coffee is best kept in an airtight, opaque container at room temperature, away from the hob and window. The original bag clipped shut lets in air over time.

Avoid the fridge or freezer for daily-use beans, as condensation damages them.

Why it matters for small spaces

Good storage is the cheapest way to protect the flavour you already paid for, and a tidy canister helps a small kitchen.
